Our objective

The Gyle, London exudes a unique surreal nature with rather zany details. They needed a frictionless experience that doesn’t distract you from their ethos, but enables visitors to effectively find and book a stay.

The booking experience on mobile and tablet devices needed to be intuitive, quick and stress free.

Since the hotel launch in Nov 2019, bookings are strong with high rates of direct and organic search acquisition.

With no paid search required to date, the Gyle has relied on strong channels of acquisition from Organic to social.

Our approach

We worked very closely with the operations director, interior designer and project teams to ensure that we fully understood not only the needs of the business but the guests.

Regular face to face meetings were held to discuss the User Experience, design and content. Allowing the project to evolve with the team at The Gyle, involving stakeholders in the entire process. This approach results in delivering a website that grows with all parties having input and reduces the need for radical changes.

For this particular build we embraced Wagtail for the CMS, as it complimented our requirements. Allowing us to develop a fast, flexible, secure and powerful site.
